Pick one of these activities to complete. It might take you longer than one lesson.
Create a fact file about a Polar Region. Include climate, map, animals, explorers that have visited the region and any other interesting facts.
Identify animals found in Polar Regions or Africa that are Carnivores, herbivores and omnivores.
Create a visual representation of items needed for an Explorer to take on an expedition to Polar Regions and Africa. Think about the types of clothes, equipment and food needed. What differences are there and why?
Research the work of Kenojuak Ashevak and create a piece of artwork in the style of his work. |
Design a poster to encourage people to travel to the Polar Regions or a country in Africa.
Label a map of the world with the different continents and oceans.
Choose 3 animals from either a Polar Region or Africa and label their body parts. Are they a vertebrate, invertebrate, mammal?
