Summer Term 2026

This term our topic is Reach for the Stars!

We will be exploring our dreams, aspirations and goals by studying a range of professions which have been inspired by your children's choices on Careers Dress Up Day including:

• Postal Workers
• Animal Husbandry – vets, zookeepers, farmers
• Healthcare – doctors, nurses, opticians
• Technology – coding, computers, YouTubers
• Emergency Services – paramedics, lifeguards, firefighters
• Athletes

We would love to bring this learning to life with some inspirational visits from people within these professions. If you have any connections in these areas, please speak with your child's class teacher so we can arrange a visit.

Underpinning our Templars' value of Care, we will be learning how to strive for excellence, and challenge ourselves and others by setting and reviewing personal targets through the My Happy Mind Program.

We will be looking at animals, their habitat and life cycles and how we show care for all living things.

Underpinning our Templars' value of Respect, we will be learning new skills and techniques which will help us achieve our goals, such as

• Different sports skills and disciplines – throwing, catching, running
• Planning, building and evaluating engineering projects
• Planting and caring for plants, including vegetables for eating
