In Reception, we have 3 classes, which are RB (Mr Brightside), RH (Mrs Hartley) and RS (Mrs Smith). They are very-ably supported by Miss Emms, Mrs Clarke, Miss Bowden, Mrs Brown and Miss Masters.

If you have any concerns, please feel free to speak to any member of staff when dropping off or collecting your child. Please be mindful that these can be busy times and, should your conversation need more depth, you may need to make an appointment outside of school hours.

In Reception at Templars, we teach the following lessons daily:

• Phonics – using the Read, Write Inc scheme of learning. Click Here
• Maths – using White Rose Maths and Mastering Number planning and resources. Click Here
• Theme – which may incorporate one of the traditional foundation subjects, including History, Geography, Design and Technology, Science, Art, Music, Computing or Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE).
• Handwriting – using the Kinetic Letters scheme of learning.
