Late notice but still time!! Stuck for ideas to keep the kids busy this weekend..... why not check out the link below with some lovely ideas to explore and discover Coventry's hidden nature.
In 6DH today, the children revisited their geometric backgrounds inspired by artist Nabil Nahas. They added more colour using watercolour paints and created different effects. Then they created their own ammonite fossil and printed their fossil designs on top. The results are fantastic - an abstract mixture of geometry and nature!
Year 6 have been looking at Land Art and artwork created by English artist Andy Goldsworthy. Yesterday, 6S worked collaboratively in groups to create large-scale fossil collages inspired by Goldsworthy and fossil patterns. We experimented with different techniques, manipulated paper to make ammonites and mixed 2D with 3D.

We are all very excited for the Year 4's trip to join the Young Voices Choir at The Resorts World Arena tomorrow. We are taking a total of 71 children, the biggest choir the school has ever sent. Please remember if your child is attending the concert with us they need:
All items need to be packed in a small bag that will fit under their chair in the arena.
Please keep an eye on twitter for any update on where we are sitting (and hopefully you can let us know where you all are so we can give you a wave) and for updates on arrival back to school.
