Dear Parent/Carer of Year 2 children,

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT FREE SCHOOL MEALS AND PAID SCHOOL MEALS

As most of you are aware, all children in Reception, Years 1 and 2 receive a Universal Free School Meals from the government.  This changes when a child goes into year 3 to start Key Stage 2. In year 3 and beyond only those pupils whose parents are on the Free School Meal (FSM) list provided by Coventry City Council will get a free lunch (and also help with the costs of school trips and visits).  If you know that you are on this FSM list from Coventry City Council you do not need to do anything further.

It is extremely important that all of our parents/carers of year 3 children, who are unsure about their eligibility or who are not on the FSM list, please complete the application form online to find out if you are entitled to FSM.

For the year 2 children who are currently NOT listed on the FSM list provided by Coventry City Council, from September 2020 when they start in Year 3, they will begin to be charged for meals at £2 per day (£10 per week).
