Do you need some ideas on how to get those spellings to stick?
Please use the document above for some simple strategies to use at home to support you children to learn to spell. Below, you will see the list of words that children are required to learn at each year group or phase in primary school. Your child's teachers will support this learning in the classroom and will also send weekly words home for our child to practice. Some of these weekly words may be the same as these lists, and others will be different to allow children to learn not just the words themselves but the spelling rules that link to them so that they can apply this knowledge to spell unknown and more complex words.
