Meet our Learning Mentors
What is the Learning Mentor's role?
Learning Mentors provide support and guidance to children and young people to help them overcome social, emotional and behavioural problems which act as barriers to learning.We listen without judgement and lend our 'Thinking Brain' so that in time children develop a better internal working model to cope when situations arise.
Children and adults communicate through their behaviour, it is our job to unpick the behaviour, understand it and try to find a way to support them to develop more socially acceptable alternatives that will help them succeed in the long term.
We support children in a variety of ways and will always keep parents informed, working together as children learn and grow. Please contact us if you think you or your children need our support.
